Elizabeth McKinsey is a Professor of English at Carleton College. She is returning to the classroom, after thirteen years as Dean of the College, and to her "first love" American literature and American Studies. Her scholarship has focused on 19th century American literature, art, and culture; 20th century Southern literature; and issues in liberal education.
